Frequently asked questions about the cost of repairing subsidence
How much does subsidence repair typically cost?
The cost of repair depends on a number of factors, which include whether we are stabilising a concrete slab, foundations or load bearing structure. In addition to this, we have to take in to account the ground conditions as these dictate the depth of treatment we need to carry out.
If you want to stabilise a foundation, then you can use our Cost Calculator and input the number of linear meters that needs stabilising and it will give you a cost estimate.
If you want other types of subsidence repair carried out, please call us or email us for an accurate budget quote.
Is Resin Injection cheaper than underpinning?
Resin injection stabilisation is almost always cheaper than traditional underpinning. Whilst the equipment and materials we use are expensive, the way we apply the materials and the time taken to do the work is significantly quicker than traditional underpinning, allowing us to carry out the work for an overall cheaper cost with less disruption and impact. In fact the costs are often less than 50% of traditional underpinning!
How long does the repair process take?
The length of time taken to carry out the work depends on the length of wall or square area of slab that needs stabilising. The vast majority of our residential stabilisation jobs are completed within 1-2 days, and most of our commercial jobs are completed in 1-2 weeks. In most cases, with advanced planning, the work can be done whilst the property is still occupied and being used!

Cracked Walls Can't Be Ignored!
Discovering cracks in your walls is often the first indication of potential structural damage caused by subsidence. While some cracks may be harmless, others can signal sinking or damaged foundations. Ignoring these problematic cracks can lead to further deterioration, ultimately devaluing your property. Subsidence is the sinking or settling of the ground beneath a building. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including poor drainage, clay soil, and mining. When subsidence occurs, it can cause the foundations of a building to move, which can lead to cracks in the walls.
